What I Liked and Loved about May 2017 – Princess Party

I discovered this new Blog Linky about the things I loved and liked the previous month. I thought it would be a really fun one to participate. My favourite part of May was the Princess Party I attended with Miss Genesis, age 2.5 years.

The party was a fundraiser for a local high school.  Miss Genesis got the chance to dress up  and meet Princesses Ariel, Anna, Elsa, Moana and Rapunzel.  When the princesses first arrived my daughter was able to spend time talking to each one individually for awhile. She was very excited to see them!  Then the princesses did a concert for the kids, each singing one song:

Moana – How Far You’ll Go
Ariel – Part of Your World
Anna – Do You Want to Build a Snowman?
Elsa – Let it Go
Rapunzel – When Will My Life Begin?

Princess PartyMiss Genesis was thrilled because, even though she hasn’t watched any of the movies in full yet, she loves princesses and knows the songs.  Afterwards, the kids were able to go up on stage and have a photoshoot with the princesses. Miss Genesis said she wanted to give each princess a ‘high five’ and they were happy to comply.  We got some great photographs but I won’t share the best ones since it’s a public blog and you can see Miss Genesis’ face in those ones.

When thinking of a monthly highlight for May, this one really stands out because Miss Genesis is still talking about now, and also because she’s not the only Disney Princess fan in the house, I happen to love them too haha! Miss Genesis says her favourite princess is Moana.  After some thought, I have decided that I agree with her, at least tied with my longtime childhood favourite Belle.
